Reiki:
Reiki (pronounced RAY KEY) is an ancient Japanese technique for stress reduction
and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen
"life force energy" flows through everyone. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows
through and around you.
Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability
is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life
force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.
Reiki Workshops:
Are now being hosted by Warren & Tracy Douglas, Reiki
Masters, in Guyana, South America.
Workshop includes:
Creating/Revealing the healer that exists in all of us.
Reiki I- students will receive a set of combined attunements where the
focus is self-healing.
Reiki 1 healers will be able to do healing for someone else who is physically present.
Reiki
II students will receive an additional attunement where the focus
is to increase healing energy. Attunement
focuses upon emotional, mental and karmic healing in the person who receives it. It also includes the methods and tools for
doing healing with someone who is not physically present i.e. distance healing.
Reiki III is
the Master/Teacher's degree. The attunement involves spiritual level energy and achieves spiritual healing in the person receiving
it. This energy is pure joy, oneness with all life, and connection with Goddess/Source.
Workshops are ongoing by appointment.

Men's Gatherings
Pandama Retreat dedicates 1 session quarterly to The MEN of
GUYANA. We encourage fathers and sons to attend as well.

In the photo above 100 fathers, sons and grandfathers
gathered on a mountaintop in Mentone, Alabama for a weekend retreat facilitated by Malidoma Some and 2 other well known presenters.
It was a magical weekend of ritual, healing and sharing. Men came from as far as Australia to experience Mentone. We will
continue the legacy and spirit of Mentone at Pandama Retreat right here in Guyana.

*THE MORE YOU RESIST
We will use wax, cassava paste or rice paste to create images
on fiber that reflect a journey to wholeness.
*STENCILING THROUGH THE MADNESS
First we will honor the “crazy”. You know the stuff
you can’t believe is happening around you and some that you actually signed up for. I will assist you in finding the
humor of it all as we create stencils and stamps that reflect pockets of joy we wish to cultivate. We will use paints and
pastels to cultivate your images on fiber as we work through the gunk
*LAYERING THE GOOD
For the souls that are not attached to outcome, be willing to
jump in and try an array of techniques that have no guarantee. The focus is the freedom of the WOW.
*ALL DOLLED UP
We will use a variety of patterns, techniques and materials to
create self-empowering images of our divine self.
*ADORNING THE SOUL
We will create sacred jewelry using semiprecious stones, beads
and charms.
All classes include meditation, materials and lunch.
As a teaching artist I want to create an experience for artists
to learn new techniques and for those who are not creatively inclined I will assist you in discovering your hidden creative
self.
As a healer my intent is to create a space to breathe and to be
present. We will work on allowing your voice, your intent, and your purpose to be revealed, as we create art for the sake
of healing.

Winemaking Workshops:
Home Winemaking is a very poular hobby around the world.
One of the many wonderful things about living in the tropics is the widespread availabilty
of numerous tropical fruits. These unique tropical fruits make the process of making wine at home very exciting.
We will be conducting workshops on "Making fruit wines at Home". We will take you through
the process step-by-step until you feel comfortable doing it at home.
Pandama Retreat offers a variety of tropical wines for visitors.
